BLOCKS
- All standing blocks
WALKING HAND MOVEMENTS
- All walking hand movements must be memorized and presented in their entirety without a count.
STANDING KICKS
- All previous, plus:
- Shuffle, jump spinning hook kick
- Shuffle, jump spinning crescent kick
WALKING KICKS
- All previous walking kicks
FORM REQUIREMENTS
- All previous, plus:
- Advanced motion number two: Naihanchi Cho Dan
- Basic motion number one backwards: Bo Ell Hyung Cho Ki
- Bo motion number one: Bo Hyung El Bo
ONE STEP REQUIREMENTS
- All 50 traditional one steps (hands and feet)
- Ten original choreographed one steps, 5 on right side and 5 on left side
- Five original choreographed three steps
RUNS
- Basic, Intermediate, and advanced runs of hands, kicks, and fighting combinations
- Backwards runs of advanced hands, kicks, and fighting combinations
ESSAY REQUIREMENT
- Black belt candidates must write an essay at least one page long describing what karate means to him/her. It should include a brief history on his/her career in Karate and his/her plans going forward if a black belt level is achieved.
SPARRING
- Multiple one-on-one rounds
- One 1-minute two-on-one round
- One 1-minute three-on-one round
BOARD BREAKING
- Running jump 360 spinning back kick (two boards)
- Three directional combination breaks choreographed by candidate
- Speed break (hook kick)
